Highlights of Union Budget 2021-22

The Budget 2021-22 is presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman on 01/02/2021 (Budget Day), it is the First Paperless Budget using Made in India Digital Tab, changes from Brief case to Bahi Khata.

- Pensioners above 75 years are exempted from ITR.
- Rs 35,000 crore allocated to COVID-19 Vaccine.
- Rs 223,846 crore allocated to Healthcare, increased by 137% in Budget 2021
- Ujwala Scheme to benefit additional 1 crore families
- Fiscal Deficit for 2021 at 9.2% of GDP and for 2021-2022 expected at 6% of GDP, Rs 5.54 lakh crore towards Capital expenditure in 2022
- Rs 16.5 lakh crore allocated for Proposing increase in agricultural credit target.
- Rs 1.72 lakh crore paid to paddy farmers in 2020-21.
- Rs 20,000 crore allocated to bank recapitalisation
- Aim to Complete 11,000 km of National Highway infrastructure this year
- Vehicles to undergo fitness test for 20 years for personal vehicle & 15 years for commercial vehicle.
- PM Aatmanirbhar Swastha Bharat to be launched with Rs 64,180 crore for over 6 years.
- Rs 18,000 crore allocated to public transport in urban areas.
- Rs 1500 crore allocated for promotion online mode of payment.
- Rs 2.87 lakh crore allocated to Jal Jeevan Mission
- Rs 1.4 lakh crore allocated to Urban Swacch Bharat Scheme
- Rs 1.10 lakh crore allocated to Railways, of which 1.7 lakh crore for capital expenditure.
- Rs 2,217 Crore for 42 Urban Center to tackle Air Pollution Control.
- Rs 3.05 lakh crore allocated to Power Sector.
- Rs 20,000 crore for public sector bank.
