People above age 45 are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination from April 1, Know how to get registered

Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said in press conference, "people above age 45 and above will be eligible for vaccination and can get vaccinated from Arpil 1". The decision was taken by the cabinet after suggested by Covid task force and experts. Currently people above age 65 are eligible and above age 45 with co-morbidities are eligible for COVID-19 Vaccination for free at Government facilities


Know how to get registered for COVID-19 vaccination ;

1) Beneficiaries can register and book an appointment through CoWin Portal or the Aarogya Setu App

2) On the Aarogya Setu App go to the CoWin tab or directly register on CoWin portal.

3) On CoWin portal, enter your mobile number and click on send OTP, then enter the OTP received on the mobile number and click on verify.

4) On Aarogya Setu app, go to CoWin tab and click on the vaccination tab and click on proceed. Fill in the registration form, you will receive a confirmation message after registration.

5) A person who have already registered can link upto 4 people with one mobile number.

6) You can schedule an appointment by clicking on a calendar icon, below a column named Action. You will be required to fill in the beneficiaries' details in the "Book Appointment for Vaccination" page.

7) Beneficiaries can reschedule or cancel appointments through the portal or the mobile application for the second dose. A digital record of every vaccination is being maintained.

8) If you want to reschedule, you can again log in with your mobile number, enter OTP and make the changes by clicking on the edit icon below the 'Action' column.

9) After the vaccination process is completed, a digital certificate will be sent to the portal or app. This can be downloaded.

10) The second dose has to be taken between 4 to 8 weeks. Doctors will decide when it is best to take the second shot.

So far, 4.85 crore people have at least received one dose of the coronavirus vaccines
